David Thomas is a Canadian visual artist working across mural, portrait, and mixed media painting. His work blends realism with abstraction, often using vibrant colour, layered forms, and personal imagery to explore emotion, memory, and transformation. Known for his bold use of tone David often paints his children, not as literal portraits, but as figures that evoke broader themes of growth, identity, and human connection.

His murals and studio work are deeply influenced by place, season, and mood-balancing thoughtful composition with intuitive mark-making. Whether on canvas or a city wall, David’s work aims to create a sense of presence and uplift, inviting viewers to pause, feel, and reflect.
